The South African Government has entered into an agreement with Ghana to put a Visa Waiver for ordinary passport holding citizens of the two countries for 90 days.

According to statements from the two nations, both South African and Ghanaian citizens can travel between the two countries and stay without Visa requirements for the aforementioned period.

“Travelers May Transit through departure and stay in the territory of both countries for accumulative period of up 90 days without recourse to work, “ reads the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana.

The High Commission of South Africa revealed that the new development will be effective  from 1 November this year.

“Citizens are advised that the two governments have agreed to implement the waiver for Visa exemption for ordinary passport holders for accumulative period of 90 days pay annum, with effect from 1 November 2023.” Reads the statement.
