The High Court in Johannesburg handed down a life sentence to a serial rapist, Thabang Mahlangu.

Mahlangu, whose reign of terror spanned from 2018 to 2020 in the Cosmo City area of Johannesburg, has recently been slapped with a life imprisonment sentence.

According to NPA, Mahlangu would forcibly enter victims’ homes, violate them, rape them and forcibly take their belongings.

The spokesperson for NPA South Africa, Phindi Mjonondwane, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the case, “The NPA stands firm in its commitment to ensuring that perpetrators of such reprehensible acts are brought to justice and held accountable for their actions to the fullest extent of the law.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has achieved victory in the fight against sexual violence.
