South Africa’s International Relations Minister, Dr. Naledi Pandor, has embarked on a more than 1 week-long working visit to the United States and Jamaica.
The purpose of the visit is to engage in high-level consultations and discussions on South Africa’s foreign policy positions with various stakeholders and organizations that include government officials, business leaders, academics, and other key players.
The minister will use this opportunity to explain the rationale behind South Africa’s stance and engage in constructive dialogue to promote better understanding.
As part of her mission, Dr. Pandor is set to participate in a roundtable discussion with the US-Africa Business Centre, providing an opportunity to strengthen economic ties between South Africa and the United States.
Dr. Pandor will deliver a public lecture at Howard University, a historically black research university, on the topic “Speaking Truth to Power.”
