51-year-old man who was apprehended last week for crashing into former President Jacob Zuma’s car has been granted bail of R500 at the Eshowe Magistrate’s Court in northern KwaZulu-Natal.

 

The collision occurred on Thursday night along the R66 while Zuma was reportedly traveling between Nkandla and Eshowe.

According to police reports, Ntuli’s vehicle collided with Zuma’s official armored state vehicle.

Ntuli is facing charges of drunken driving, as well as reckless and negligent driving.

 

The case has been suspended till 3 May to allow investigations.
